-Friction bolt reference to the AS/NZS1594 / ASTM A1011 standard.
-Hot rolled steel reference to the GBT3524-2015 standard.
-Friction Bolt-33-1500mm is roll-formed into a C-shaped bolt with a slot by a high tensile steel band, which one end is tapered for easily inserting the bolt into drilling hole. The other end is welded a ring to hold the bearing plate.
-Usually combined with domed plates, provides anchoring force for rock strata.
Friction Bolt-33-1500mm Functions
The Friction Bolt-33-1500mm operates as a ground support system through frictional forces. When the bolt is inserted into a drilled hole with a smaller diameter, the slot compresses, reducing the bolt's diameter. This compression generates radial forces against the rock surface along the entirety of the bolt, effectively securing the rock in place.

How to work
The nature of the ground must be evaluated.
Choose the proper bit and drill a hole according to bolt diameter, bolt length, and drilling procedure, and the length is at least 150mm longer than the length of the friction bolt.
Place a plate onto friction bolt (dome against the ring, tapered end at front).
Friction bolts must be installed perpendicular to the rock surface.
Put the driver dolly into bolts and drive the friction bolt into the hole until the plate is firmly against the rock surface.
Do not pound on the friction bolt when the plate is tightly fixed on the rock surface, to avoid damage of the friction bolt end.
Pull tests shall be performed to determine the initial anchorage of the friction bolts after installation.
